Tasting- San Elias

Name: San Elias Carmenere
Region: Central Valley
Country: Chile
Year: 2010
Price: $5.95
Shop: Vintage Cellar
The grapes for this Carménère are selected from vineyards in the
Central Valley. Beautiful red fruit aromas. Supple and round in the
mouth, the wine pairs well with full flavored cheeses and lamb.
Review: This wine smelled of peppers (cooked, green and red). It also smelled like smoke and spice, maybe pepper. The wine tasted very spicy and herby. There was also a lot of alcohol to get over before you could taste a thing.
